Ms. Woodward received her J.D. degree magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of San Diego School of law, where she was in the top 2% of her class. She also studied at home on Oahu at the University of Hawaii Richardson School of Law for her final semester of law school.

While in law school, Ms. Woodward was a member of the University of San Diego Law Review. She received numerous scholastic awards including CALI Excellence for the Future Awards (awarded to the highest grade) in her Contracts, Constitutional Law I, Professional Responsibility, Corporations, and Conflicts of Law courses.
